Would you say that the cynicism or just you, or a general thing? I stated my hypothesis as 'expecting too much' but I'm not particularly wedded to that specific hypothesis. It's just my observations suggest it isn't just the apps per se. I'm not blaming you btw. It's just you aren't going to find a solution if you're looking at the wrong thing.
