I watch all of these and I wounded what is truly going to happen. These companies know that legislators are always decade+ behind on regulation and playing catchup. So even if they say Google is a monopoly which is harder to prove than just saying oh you’ve got the most searches and higher market share, that’s success not necessarily a monopoly.
- jakobson14 3y agoThey're not arguing that google is a monopoly. Everyone, including Google, agrees that google has a 90%+ monopoly. The whole point of the case is how google maintains that monopoly, mainly by paying hundreds of billions of dollars to make their product the default everywhere possible. It's (argued) that's the reason google remains at 90%+ market share despite their search product becoming increasingly useless.
