I’ve been paying for Kagi for a couple of months so far and I’m pretty happy with it. No ads, not just the usual expected sites, and easy ability to up rank, down rank, or even block sites for future searches.
- DougN7 3y agoI’ve also completely switched to Kagi and have been very happy - happy enough to pay for it. As is said so often: “it’s amazing what happens when _you_ are not the product”.
- viraptor 3y agoSame. It's really the "just take my money" service. I'd pay even if I would fit in the free quota.
- TradingPlaces 3y agoSo happy with Kagi for general web search and news search, and it is the best search engine i use for those. Google still better for photos imo. Best $10 I spend every month.
- slau 3y agoPhotos, memes and inside references. The other day my girlfriend wanted to show me a Twilight meme, and asked me to search for “when the weather starts to feel like hah hah hah hah”. Google instantly recognises it as a Twilight reference, presenting relevant TikToks, YouTube and images. Kagi, on the other hand, has no idea what is going on. It’s a very specific case, and won’t make me stop using Kagi as my main search engine, but it’s a difference.
- drcongo 3y agoThat's one of the reasons I love Kagi, I much prefer signal to noise.
