Why do mainframes still exist and what's inside one? [video]
- nxobject 3y agoIt's surprising to see the smaller SKUs that are available for z16s, given how we think mainframes are monsters: the smallest is a 18U bring-your-own-racks-and-power-distribution model. (It's also interesting that PCIe 3 is the glue bus between compute units and their own bespoke peripheral connection technologies...)
