Hyphens, minus, and dashes in Debian man pages
- its-summertime 3y agoSounds very silly. If an author wanted a specific type, they could just use that type, — – et al are type-able with basic keyboard setting-up. from old to new: 2010 → 2010 002D → 2010 \002D → 002D (unless source documents MUST be ASCII, which I'm guessing isn't the case) And anything that makes a jaunt through a pre-parser (e.g. converting comments eventually to man pages) is going to have a lot of fun with `\\-\\-foo \\-\\-bar`
