- austin-cheney 3y agoInformation dominance has been a key strategic asset of warfare since WW1. There is a clear and obvious tactical advantage to the boots on ground in destroying the enemy’s command and control capabilities while simultaneously enhancing friendly command and control. The more important benefits are non-tactical, though. Information dominance shapes the politics of a conflict. If non-combats do not see the enemy civilian population suffer than they must not be suffering, and so forth.
