- salamanderss 3y agoYou're right. The Canadian armed forces swear allegiance to the monarch of Canada in the UK, the same man not coincidentally currently monarch of UK. The monarchy of Canada, an abstract idea nebulously exists perhaps everywhere (including in the UK) or nowhere depending on how you consider abstract ideas.
