Well, isn't that marketing? "engineers ruined this word... they should be doing more of that" Maybe have roles and realize engineering is hard enough, same with marketing. Unless you are a tiny team, the point of teams and organizations is to divide responsibilities such that every person can do what they do best. Engineers are often bad at thinking how to reach an audience and get feedback from them (i.e. games where devs didn't listen to their player base).
