It's an interesting question, who stewards Virginia's history- NoVA is basically Yankee, Tidewater is the East coast home of the 'occupying force', the rest of Virginia is conservative, but in Lincoln's party. Richmond still thinks of itself as the center of Tara, but the demographics say otherwise.
