Nothing would really prevent you from using Wayland + Xwayland, but getting all of that working on FreeBSD looks like entering a world of pain.

- remexre 3y agoI thought FreeBSD fully supports Wayland?
- craftkiller 3y agoYeah, it does. I use sway (wayland) on FreeBSD and it works great and wasn't harder to set up than on Linux. In fact, it works better for me on FreeBSD than on Arch Linux because the sway vulkan backend works for me on FreeBSD but not on Linux. Maybe they're suggesting piping wayland out of a pot jail is harder?
- remexre 3y agoWell, Wayland+Xwayland would be easy, just pipe the X11 out to a host-side Xwayland
