I tried it and had no problems. Everything is smooth, no visual problems. I have a mid-tier Radeon from 3 years ago.
Yeah they fucked up the launch and it's unfortunate they're getting such negative press, but it's a city simulator it doesn't need 120FPS, what are we talking about?
If you want to just have fun and go build cities, there's a clear path for it
- jiggawatts 3y agoSome people are fine with driving at 10 mph because the transmission is broken in their brand new car. “It’s not a Ferrari and I’m not racing.”
- deanCommie 3y agoAn extremely un-generous interpretation. I would more compare it to "The air conditioner is broken, and the radio crashes. But it still gets me from home to work." The stuff needs to be fixed, but the core purpose is absolutely met. The core purpose of a city builder/simulator is to let you creatively build well-simulated non-buggy beautiful cities. You can absolutely do that. The fact that some volumetric effects are missing, or that you can't do it in 4K is absolutely a problem, and the devs should fix it. But let's not pretend like this is the equivalent of going 10mph on the road without being able to shift gears, come on.
