I love the marketing: Let's make the most uncomplicated to manufacture design possible, with basically a touch screen, and we can design the software forever, and call it "minimalism". Meanwhile it is not minimalistic or simple. As it has been said in many contexts before "make things as simple as possible, but no simpler" I chose a Mazda as my car because of the physical knobs they put in to control the infotainment, I absolutely swear by it, and I love it. It is far less distracting then trying to tap a spot on a screen while my hand is shaking due to small bumps on the road while I'm desperately trying to not look away from the road itself.
