GitHub blocked me and all of my libraries (2020)
- IronWolve 3y agoLots of place use mod bots running on forums to remove words the trigger the censorship overlords just for this reason. Instead of the corps just removing the offending post, they nuke the user and excommunicate them for society. Amazed spell checkers dont highlight words that are not allowed by our corporate overlords, or have AI check your comments before posting. Also highlights the issues of having 1 mega corp run a service. Instead of just providing the service, they have to be an arbitrator of who is their idea of a morally acceptable person.
- dvektor 3y agoHis excuse as to why he doesn't actually hate gay people was one of the most ridiculous and hilarious things I have ever read. The fact that he managed to make that sound completely serious and just move on with the article like he didn't just say what he said...
- mortallywounded 3y agoEven if he hates gay people and says it, it's no excuse to delete someone's account and ban them. Delete their comment? Sure.
- dvektor 3y agoI'm definitely not saying they were right for banning him at all... It was just an utterly insane statement.
