Hopefully Huawei put these new 5G chips to good use and bring out some new updated devices! I have a Huawei E6878-870 5G router which is a great device, but getting a bit long in the tooth (no eSIM support, doesn’t support the newer 5G bands, no WiFi 6, etc). I’ve tried some competitor’s devices like the ZTE MU5001, but they’re a bit plonky by comparison. Much prefer the Huawei UI and physical design, as well as seemingly better antennas. I think they got a bit discouraged by all the sanctions against them and slowed down their device releases in recent years, but sounds like they’re overcoming that now. Would love to see some updated Huawei 5G routers soon!
