I am apparently in the minority in that I am able to contain two separate thoughts about Elon Musk
“Elon is not some futuristic space god” and “Elon has achieved some cool stuff” are perfectly compatible concepts
I’m not sure what it is about him that seems to trigger an immediate leap to either fellating him or fellating yourself
- jraby3 3y agoI couldn’t agree more. Online if you utter respect for some of his accomplishments your considered a fanboy. He’s an idiot on social media but he’s accomplished some amazing things for humanity.
- qsdf38100 3y agoFor humanity, really? So he cares about humans? Human rights? He values life? He seems to care for future humans, current humans can suffer, it doesn’t matter because everything will be so great in 100 years. But wait, maybe it won’t be so great because another great leader will disregard current humans, for humanity?

- soultrees 3y agoYou probably hold yourself to the same standard on separating the good vs the bad but do you allow that same freedom from everyone you know? It’s like finding out your family doctor cheated on his wife after he died; it says something about character but doesn’t diminish accomplishments. The next question is if we are able to afford everyone the freedom to separate actions from character then would we be better off?
