- afdbcreid 3y agoRust offers you great control when you need it (to the same level of C++, basically. This is what it was designed for). And even the Carbon docs say that if you start from scratch prefer languages like Rust.
- alphanullmeric 3y agoNo it doesn’t. The vast majority of what is taught in a college C++ course would be either impossible or extremely difficult to do in rust. You couldn’t implement std::tuple or std::variant for instance. The carbon docs never recommend rust, they just urge you to use something already available.
