I have one unscientific opinion on the matter having been surrounded by plenty of people in my life who have treated their bodies like a temple and plenty of people who treated their body like a rental:
I truly think some large percentage of one's lifespan is grossly predetermined by genetics. Of course, one can always do things to make his or her metaphorical "dice roll" better or worse, but I sadly believe that it only buys so much... Perhaps, so little?
People are so uncomfortable with not being in control and not being the arbiters of themselves. Thus, people latch on to any prayer of a chance they can get to cling to this speck of space dust as long as they can.
Take these supplements so you can feel like you are 35 when you are 45? Sorry, you're 45, and the clock is ticking. Tick. Tock. Tick.
People spend so much time and money and effort to live longer, and so little time and money and effort to live better -- live happier. Hell, I'm probably one of these people too.
We all get one ride, so buckle up and enjoy it the best you can.
You won't make it out alive.
