The results are consistent: the longer a person stays with Amazon, the lower their compensation is compared to their peers, so much so that a L6 could earn 50% less than a fresh L5. Of course, there was not enough data points for L7 and above and people who got promoted fast wouldn't suffer the slow growth of their compensation.
