    Of the top 10 languages on https://www.tiobe.com/tiobe-index/ https://www.tiobe.com/tiobe-index/, only Visual Basic uses ^ as the power operator. Google must really like Visual Basic.

      Huh... I've always thought of it as power. It probably comes from my ancient past ;).. Note bc -l it's power of.
