I can't say if this law is stupid or not. A company has to be over 250 employés to be GDPR compliant. And it seems there is UTF-EBCDIC. I can see what you mean, but I don't think having rules for large banks is against the ~hacker etos~

    To be exact, companies with fewer than 250 employees are exempt of some obligations in article 30.
