Vegemite Turns 100
- h2odragon 3y agoHave they finished the first batch yet? Or is this the product of some geoengineering operation like the movie "The Stuff"? never did understand vegemite.
- qbrass 3y agoIt's the byproduct of recycling piss back into Fosters.
- simonblack 3y agonever did understand vegemite. If that's the case, you're extremely unlikely to be Australian. Australians are introduced to Vegemite at a very early age, often under the age of 12 months. It's been there all of their lives. Vegemite is second-nature. A loss of Vegemite induces withdrawal cravings. Probably a better way of seeing things is to recognise that Australians have evolved eating Vegemite into becoming a separate species.
- cf100clunk 3y agoThe article is written from the perspective you've given, articulating how very personal a child's introduction to Vegemite can be.
