This sucks. I rarely take any of this stuff, but phenylephrine can do a lot to relieve pain.

  Are you sure you're thinking of the right drug? I haven't heard that it possesses any analgesic properties.

    For many it does indirectly since it relieves sinus pressure.

      Does it? I thought it was no better than a placebo? Are you sure you're not thinking of pseudoephedrine?

        It does work if you spray it directly in the nose. It does not work orally. I wonder if they think that CVS will be removing the spray.
