Yeah, I'm 100% atheist, but often feel horrified by the shallow understanding of religion and theology that many other atheists exhibit. I want shake them and say "do you really think you're smarter than Thomas Aquinas?" Sure, he was wrong... but not worthy of ridicule. It's just so easy and satisfying to assume that disagreement indicates stupidity.
