Ask HN: HS Senior Project on Open Source -- Interview Candidate Wanted

Hello members of HN! I come to you today in need of some help. At my school, all Seniors are required to complete a "Senior Project" prior to graduation. For this assignment, I have chosen to learn about the open source movement and its tremendous growth in recent years. As per the requirements, I must conduct an interview to use as a resource. This is where you come in, dear hackerne.ws community. If anyone can claim to be: "An expert in the field being studied, an individual with some valuable piece of personal insight, and/or someone with first hand knowledge of the topic," I would GREATLY appreciate any help you could offer. Here are my interview questions: 1) Please tell me a little about yourself, how you first started using open source products, and your place in the open source movement. 2) In your experience, what are the main advantages to open source software? 3) In your experience, what are the main disadvantages to open source software? 4) How do consumers benefit from open source software? 5) How do businesses benefit from open source software? 6) Where do you see open source going in the future?
