It's not that "devs think it's okay" - it's that we accept that sales thinks it's okay and we don't have the experience or judgement to say otherwise unless we've been in a sales org. The fundamental point I think everyone misses is that as organizations get larger, the network cost of running is higher and nobody has solved that problem. Smaller problems are more quickly solvable and no amount of story points will change that.
