Baby boomers are aging. Their kids aren't ready
- jeffreygoesto 3y agoThere is no lobby for people in this situation. Having a disabled child and at the same time needing to care for my mom brought me down to zero almost. I am lucky to not live in the US, otherwise I don't know where/if I would be now. And "luckily" my mom died Beginning 2020 so she did not have to live through the soul crushing isolation. Love your parents while you can, it's shorter than you think.

Millennials, X-Gens, etc, are discovering exactly what the Boomers discovered exactly a generation ago: That they are a 'sandwich generation', squeezed between looking after their elderly parents and looking after their demanding children. 'Twas ever thus. Over thousands of years. Every generation thinks they have discovered 'Something New'. As I said above: "The more things change, the more they stay the same."
