This reminds me of a somewhat similar scheme Mozilla is doing (https://www.fastly.com/blog/firefox-fastly-take-another-step-toward-security-upgrade https://www.fastly.com/blog/firefox-fastly-take-another-step...) and my concerns about running my traffic through a proxy run by for-profit company haven't changed one bit.
