- mrtksn 3y agoI don’t understand what this means, but you can always change the laws to allow the migrants to vote I guess?

Visa restrictions are a form of trade protectionism except that the "good" being protected is labor. Sometimes companies win subsidies or protectionist tariffs just with lobbyists. Workers have actual votes.
