Although the linked article is a rather nebulous advert for a company,
Juhani Hintikka names something important here, something we've been
teaching for years;
Cybersecurity is relational.
Things like "zero trust" are actually complex technical ideas about
protocols, and mainly about how machines talk to other machines. The
phrase "zero trust" should never touch the ears of normies (especially
managers). It is misheard and given a dangerous, counterproductive
interpretation.
In reality no business, organisation, society or even a simple
romantic relationship can function without trust.
Building verifiable and endlessly examinable trust relationships
within organisations is therefore vital. To do so there must be common
interest and a lack of opaque power. Organisations that contain
secretive tyrannical elements are always the most vulnerable (although
the tyrants who "lead" them believe the opposite).
