I am employed and looking to relocate to the Bay area. I’ve been applying for a few weeks and am going into a third round interview this upcoming week. I am getting responses from established startups, nada from big tech. I’m looking at leadership roles for the first time so I’m not sure what to expect. A decade ago when I took my current job, I was looking at 4 offers after 6 weeks of applying. There seem to be a lot of open positions, but I suspect not compared to the number of folks on the market. Big tech just dumped a bunch of folks. “Regular tech” seems to be doing fine.
