    Our plastic monopoly money is the bees knees. But in all seriousness, if MintChip is for real and doesn't get hacked, and if I can finally say good bye to the penny (which I have already been getting rid of for over 2 years) then I'll have to admit that the Mint is probably more innovative than any other government entity up here. :)

  I was under the impression that the only thing they ever done is stamp new 25¢ pieces with different people / animal / commemorative events on them every year.

  The RCM mints currency for many countries and sells the purest metal coins you can buy, the RCM are nothing but innovative.
