Probably a very good microscope, which may or may not be difficult, given the technology of the time, but generally thought to be understandable. You'd store a bunch of this 'nanofiche' in a place, and have some diagrams/example documents with small text getting smaller and smaller and smaller, and the curious people/aliens would (hopefully) understand the idea, know enough about optics to magnify, and boom, they've got the data.
