Living on lentils for the hope to not have to work in the future, vs immediately not having to work. FIRE requires dedication for a decade or more, UBI is immediate. I don't see how you can find that odd tbh.
- olddustytrail 3y agoIt will be a lot less than a decade if you're happy to live at UBI level of income. If you clear 50k and only need 10k that's just over 5 years. I get your point, it requires some effort, but it's not that much.
