X factors love child with 'Hot or Not' = this beta baby right here
- Nik_Adhia 15y agoWe built this in the Entrepreneur First (http://www.entrepreneurfirst.org http://www.entrepreneurfirst.org) hackathon over the weekend in 24 hours, we'd love some feedback, suggestions, comments, critique on this! Do please share this amongst your networks but we'd more so like some comments on this :)

- shrikant 15y agoFor anyone else as confused as me, the headline should be parsed as follows: "The X Factor" had a love-child with "Hot or Not", and this site is the result.

- seclorum 15y agoToo many words, not enough pictures. I have to read to browse the site currently, lots of actual parsing, whereas while looking for music I want to just have a head-space of "picture of lips" = "rolling stones" as I spin through the list. Please add image-clouds and a nice fast way to see whats moving in the lists and whats not.
- Nik_Adhia 15y agoDo you mean too many words in the actual Leaderboard list? SO essentially images moving up and down for the leaderboard list instead of text?
- seclorum 15y agoYes I mean at the main web site, 'tis a huge word cloud, albeit un-sorted/categorized. If you for example could put pictures that indicate the artists (of the original song being covered) it might help.

- Timothee 15y agoI would hide the current votes of the paired videos before the user votes on them. (with maybe the option of seeing the scores but without being able to vote afterwards) I'd think it would influence one's vote.
- Nik_Adhia 15y agoHey Timothee, We literally just got the exact feedback from someone else - we are working on that now, thanks for flagging that up, I think you're right, it would influence someone's vote so we're working on how to hide that! :)

- jacobwg 15y agoNice site! It would be awesome to have a page for browsing all of the covers sorted by votes (more than just the best/worst 10). Also, it would be great if there was a way to create an account and track what videos you had voted for - there's some good covers out there.
- Nik_Adhia 15y agoGreat suggestion for the accounts, that's something we really do need to look into so we can give people a lot more feedback on they have voted for and how they're voted covers are doing!
