How does a working population destroy the housing market?
- richbell 3y agoIt's not that having a working population is necessarily a bad thing, it's that student visas are a known immigration loophole which result in hundreds of thousands of "students" (economic migrants) that wouldn't have qualified otherwise. Many of them are also willing to work and live in terrible conditions[0][1], which affects jobs and housing. Anecdotally, I know of several people that started working full time (30+ hours) doing things like driving trucks within their first year.
