If I remember correctly, Duplex was intentionally modified this way after controversy from the initial demo, when, during a call, it didn't obviously identify itself as an automated system.
- quitit 3y agoHaving to identify as a chatbot and provide a call back number was a requirement under some states' laws - while this seems like something they should have looked into before advertising it, my comment was with a wider scope to how it performs: it's not flexible and it doesn't sound natural.
