Hector Martin on the state of Linux Kernel development
- phendrenad2 3y ago> terrible processes, a culture of gatekeeping, total lack of common standards, and a good dose of toxic maintainers, sending stuff to Linux is a huge chore and a drain on your energy Maybe someone influential like Hector saying this will help change to happen. Not sure what form that change would take though. The right answer is probably a hard-fork of the kernel, focused on in-the-open development and community standards.
