- ZeroGravitas 3y agoThese feel low to me, am I just remembering the early days of EV when it was standard to quote the battery as a third to half the cost of the entire vehicle?
- RetroTechie 3y agoOngoing cost reductions. Next year it will be cheaper. The year after that, cheaper yet. Economies of scale, different (cheaper) electrode materials, smaller % of the expensive materials, higher capacity per weight unit, etc etc.
- freedude 3y agoIt sounds great unless reductions in price can't outflank inflation.
- freedude 3y agoI thought it was component costs. OEM markup would be retail.
