"I have made the conscious decision to do nothing but 3 things with very rare exceptions such as meeting friends, which I luckily do not have many of." Not sure if it was meant as a joke or maybe even positively as in "I don't have a lot of friends but the ones I have are good friends" but it read to me like self deprecating humor or an actual genuine statement. In both of the latter cases it seems to hide something unhealthy. If I was the author I wouldn't overlook having made this statement so casually.
