Germany is building its own spaceport
- pptr 3y agoBuilding a port in the north sea sounded like a terrible idea to me at first. However, I asked chatgpt and Bard and they both state that Delta-v needed to reach orbit is only 9.7 km/s versus 9.4 km/s from cape Canaveral. It's a disadvantage, but it doesn't sound like a deal breaker.
- MLHangout 3y agoNot sure if that's a good idea. The last "spaceport" was in Peenemünde.
- rad_gruchalski 3y agoWorked out pretty good for everyone. Look how far we’ve come.
- engcoach 3y agoFWIW we did get von Braun out of it
