Always good to get updates on this. Question for folks here: what applications/services would you be writing if No-GIL were complete today? Or are there existing applications you have that would benefit from this? Just curious what people are anticipating exactly.

- logicchains 3y agoPyTorch code using awful to reason about multiprocessing code for data loading could be rewritten to something much more sane with threads. There'd be no need to do all kinds of ugly hacks to avoid unnecessary copying of large arrays between threads, as they could all simply share the same (read only) memory.
