I tried writing a custom Sereal decoder plugin for this a while ago but the docs were thin and the example plugins were all adding other functionality. It would be nice to have an example for what I would assume would be probably the most common use case for a plugin, custom decoding for retrieved data. It was easy to build the functionality natively into the app, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't take a patch for an obscure format, so I never really made the effort to take it further. If anyone knows of an boilerplate formatting plugin for RedisInsight, I probably would be able to get it to release.
