This is not true at all. EVs emit such high amounts of EMF that it interferes with AM radio, which is why AM radio doesn't exist in any EVs.

- vel0city 3y agoMost refrigerators also do not have AM radios either, and they often do cause a lot of hell for AM. Same goes for pretty much all other appliances. When they're running I have a much harder time operating my amateur radio gear, even doing a lot of things to help mitigate it. Most things in my house mess with a lot of radio stuff. 70cm is practically useless to listen to inside my house from all the interference that gets picked up. I find it strange how fixated you are about it specifically affecting AM radio.
