For the most advanced e-ink display, it offers 300 ppi. I don't think this kind of resolution is sufficient for VR.

I don't think this kind of resolution is sufficient for VR.
- lawlessone 3y agoI know e-ink is expensive. But two tiny screens aren't THAT expensive. Someone will probably a have version of this on Hack A Day made from spares.
- krabizzwainch 3y agoI have actually made a pi powered eReader with a 2.7 inch eink screen with Python. I could pretty easily swap the code over to work with the 1.3 inch screens they use here. And no, I suck at doing write ups on my projects so I don’t have one lol. - johnboiles 3y agoThe only particularly cutting edge tech on this thing are the custom pancake lenses. Same optics style as in the Vision Pro and Quest 3. Those are $$$
