They're still trying to do things at global scale when it's sadly limited to YC batch potentials to find a room in the Bay Area c. 2011 because there is a huge difference between mostly college-educated, investable individuals with socio-economic accountability for a smaller audience and the general public with only superficial, limited economic accountability. I wish this wasn't the case, but the problem is the liabilities introduced in assuming everyone is cool and going to do The Right Thing™. Amongst a small cadre of cool people, it looks workable and it works for a while.
