Elon Musk says X to have two new premium tiers
- jqpabc123 3y ago$8 a month for a non-essential service just to post short little observations is totally absurd. Dream on Elon. I have existed without Twitter all along even when it was free and I certainly won't pay for it now.
- Justsignedup 3y agoHe basically sees that advertising on Twitter is dead. He needs to create enough paid clients to male up for it. So thus his conundrum. He's desperate for a workable plan.
- jqpabc123 3y agoIt's becoming obvious that Musk never had a workable business plan for Twitter --- so why buy it? Twitter was never really about "free speech" and it still isn't. Now it is about "Musk speech" --- which many advertisers (and individuals) want no part of. I would expect a business "genius" to have a workable plan at least on par with a Shark Tank contestant --- but apparently not.
- Justsignedup 3y agoego. he didn't like being criticized. He didn't like being limited. He wanted the musk network, and he didn't care. He believed his own bullshit about being a super genius when in reality he's just a rick asshole who was amazingly good at finding people to make him rich. That's his skill. Finding specific kinds of people. That's it. And for Twitter he thought that his personality was gonna be enough. It wasn't. He tried to buy a controlling board chair. He wanted to do this on the "cheap" but in the end he ended up letting his mouth do the thinking.
- naveen99 3y agoIf I was Elon, I’d start a university. His legacy could be as strong as Stanford or Carnegie. What better way to get more government funding for a project, similar to tesla and spacex.
