- CapricornNoble 3y agoIf you are having trouble getting a remote job....drop your resume off at the North Korean embassy for them to give it some polish. Clearly they know something about getting hired at least.
- InfamousRece 3y agoIt’s all about the costs. You too can get such remote job if you accept $20 per hour and no benefits.
- nitwit005 3y agoThere have been claims of North Korea counterfeiting money, and producing meth. Doing honest work seems like an improvement, even if they concealed their origins. They presumably even had to educate some citizens to make it work.
- DoingIsLearning 3y ago> Doing honest work seems like an improvement, even if they concealed their origins. Sure better than ransomware but this is terrible news for anyone else doing contracting with external clients. This in addition to all those impersonation scams will force remote contracting work further and further into a low-trust economy mindset where everyone checks everything. Which obviously adds friction and makes it overall a lot less enjoyable.
- gumballindie 3y ago> Greenberg said any company that hired freelance IT workers “more than likely” hired someone participating in the scheme. How do idiots like this guy get to work for the fbi? Is there no vetting process? At least an iq test?
