Ask HN: Are you ready to create contracts on a website without signing up?
I spent 4 years in legal tech, creating Juro - a European analog of Ironclad. I joined as the first designer and left as the design director. Throughout this time, the idea of simplicity captivated me, and together with the product team, we managed to achieve a minimalist design. It was gratifying to receive comments from users saying it's "like Apple."
Although we were able to implement many of my ideas, one remained unrealized: the ability for anyone to create contracts directly on the website's main page without signing up.
Like in childhood: you're sitting with a friend in a treehouse, you decide to solidify your everlasting friendship, you grab any piece of paper, write down an agreement, and sign it. That's it; nothing more is needed.
But this is just my hypothesis and a bit of a wild bet. May be this only worked in childhood. In the adult world, we might feel insecure about streamlining workflow, especially when it involves something as serious as a legal contract.
In short, we decided to test this hypothesis by creating a super-simple website where one can create and sign a contract: https://sendforsign.com/
So, my question to the hackers is—does anyone actually want this? Or does the childhood approach no longer work?
