I’m not saying a lot of the comments aren’t without merit but I was actually surprised to see so much negativity. There are only a handful of funding approaches for languages. I would also say most of the funding they raised is going towards the platform and inference accelerator. I can also buy the argument why setting up all the dev-tel infra to make an odd language project successful is a lot of work and possibly a distraction. Even though the source isn’t currently open, they’re certainly developing it in the open. Maybe it’s a combination of a bunch of these things that’s throwing people off?
