    "And everyone clapped." "That hooligan's name? Albert Einstein." Actually, I could believe this story. Sounds like just teens. Lots of people have heard of Linux, and it still has a little countercultural aura around it. (It's the modern techbro who typically insists on using a Mac or Windows, for self-defeating reasons.) Also, I guess the writer is in Italy, and is an Italian working on an alternative to US big-tech products.

    With the relative success of the SteamDeck it wouldn't be surprising if kids have heard of Linux. Also Linus Tech Tips, one the largest tech channels on YouTube, talk about it every so often.

  It's interesting how something unusual enough can temporarily unseat people from these group behaviours, maybe reaching some more genuine part of their personality.
